This Privacy Policy explains how DexView collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use the public site and account experience at philzdemos.com/dexview/, along with the optional philzdemos Dexcom Alerts notification program.
Information We Collect
When you use the service, we may collect and store:
- Account registration details such as your name, email address, mobile number, and acceptance of our terms and privacy policy.
- Dexcom account login identifiers you submit to access the dashboard.
- Glucose readings, timestamps, trend information, and related Dexcom device metadata.
- Manual food entries, medication entries, and other dashboard data you choose to save.
- Alert settings such as your email address, mobile number, glucose thresholds, and repeat intervals.
- Operational logs such as successful and failed alert attempts, sign-in events, sync activity, and backup activity.
How We Use Information
We use collected information to:
- Create and manage your DexView account.
- Authenticate access to the dashboard and account pages.
- Display Dexcom glucose data and related dashboard history.
- Prepare your account for ongoing per-user sync and billing features.
- Send optional transactional and informational alerts you enable, including glucose threshold alerts and user-requested test alerts.
- Operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and secure the service.
SMS and Email Alerts
SMS alerts are optional. If you provide a mobile number and enable SMS alerts in dashboard settings, we use Twilio to deliver transactional and informational text messages from +1 443-961-1430. Email alerts are delivered through Mailgun when enabled.
SMS consent is not shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing purposes. We do not sell your mobile number or use it for advertising or promotional messaging.
How We Share Information
We share information only as needed to operate the service, including with service providers that help process alerts or host the application. Examples include:
- Twilio for SMS message delivery.
- Mailgun for email delivery.
- Infrastructure and hosting providers used to run the dashboard and database.
We do not share your personal information with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
Data Retention
We retain account records, dashboard data, alert logs, and operational records for as long as reasonably necessary to operate the service, maintain backups, investigate issues, and comply with applicable obligations.
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect stored information. No storage or transmission method is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your Choices
You may disable SMS or email alerts at any time from the dashboard settings page. You may also opt out of SMS by replying STOP to a supported text alert. For help with SMS alerts, reply HELP where supported or contact us directly.
